Banner Health chose DPR to deliver preconstruction and construction services for the campus redevelopment and expansion of Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center.
The campus expansion includes a new three-story, 168,600-sq.-ft. addition for ambulatory care, cardiology, and women's services departments, as well as a new chiller plant and a 39,700-sq.-ft. renovation of the medical imaging, and outpatient services department, and a new five-level, 163,000-sq.-ft., 560-space parking garage. The team also renovated multiple floors in the patient tower.
A true high performance team, Banner, DPR, OWP/P and engineers, planned an efficient and cost-effective approach to estimating, value engineering, constructability, schedule control, procurement, cost control, and equipment tracking. Logistics and phasing kept the expansion on track. Working in and around every part of the campus and working with every department, DPR's team coordinated closely with staff to assure minimal disruptions and safety for the patients, visitors and employees.
